Dr. Mitchell J. Grayson
Dr. Grayson brings strong credentials to our practice. He is Board Certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board
authorized by the American Board of Medical
Specialists to certify physicians in Plastic
Surgery.
Dr. Grayson received his undergraduate degree
from Johns Hopkins University and his medical
degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr.
Grayson did a five-year residency in General
Surgery at San Diego Naval Hospital. He
continued his training in plastic surgery at the
Eastern Virginia Medical Authority. This
intensive fellowship covered the entire spectrum
of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr.
Grayson then served as head of the Division of
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the San
Diego Naval Hospital.
Dr. Grayson has lectured on plastic surgery
topics and instructed at national
workshops. He has been on many volunteer
overseas surgical missions to treat children with
congenital deformities. Dr. Grayson has
received the American Medical Association's
Physician's Recognition Award for continuing
medical education and he is a member of the
American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is a
Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Although Dr. Grayson no longer has any clinical/patient contact he serves as a director of the practice, ensuring that the staff provides the
highest quality of care and excellent results.
Leila S. Grayson, M.D. - Board Certified
General Surgeon &
Cosmetic Laser Surgeon
Dr. Leila Grayson graduated from
Bryn Mawr College and finished medical school at
the State University of NY at Buffalo, Cum
Laude. She then completed a 7-year surgical
residency at the University of California at San
Diego. During her residency she was awarded
a National Institute of Health fellowship
studying skin and its rejuvenation. She has
received additional post doctorate training in
the use of lasers for cosmetic surgery. Dr.
Leila Grayson personally performs all laser
procedures. She currently specializes in
facial rejuvenation and in the laser treatment of
wrinkles, spider and varicose veins, unwanted age
spots and tattoos.
In addition, she has had extensive experience
with intense pulsed light for the removal of
unwanted hair from most body areas for both men
and women and treatment of
rosacea. Dr. Grayson treats each
patient as an individual, addressing their
individual needs and concerns. She and
her office staff are dedicated to excellence in
patient care.
 Salvatore
A. Farruggio, MD, FACS - Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr.
Sal Farruggio received his Bachelor of Science
degree from Villanova University then completed
medical school at New York Medical College graduating in 1988.
He subsequently trained 5 years in
general surgery at Westchester County Medical
Center in Valhalla, NY. Following this he
finished his rigorous 2 year training in plastic
surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health
Sciences Center. His plastic surgery
fellowship included a cosmetic surgery training
at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital in New
York City.
Dr.
Farruggio then joined Dr. Grayson's practice in
New Jersey. After several years, during
which time he honed his surgical skills, he left
New Jersey to open his own practice. With
offices in Scarsdale, New York and Fairfield
County, Connecticut Dr. Farruggio serves an
upscale clientele. He is now returning to
New Jersey to provide expertise in cosmetic
surgery.
Dr.
Farruggio is certified by the American Board of
Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the
American Society of Plastic Surgery. He is
a fellow of the American College of
Surgeons. Dr. Grayson is proud to have Dr.
Farruggio rejoin the staff and both look forward
to providing excellence in plastic surgery.
